The aarti of Shani Dev, the planet Saturn, son of Surya and Chhaya. It describes his dark body, stern glance, blue garments and elephant mount, lists the things offered to him (sweets, betel, iron, sesame, oil and urad), and ends with surrender. It is sung on Saturdays, especially while lighting a mustard-oil lamp, and by those going through Sade Sati.
