Surya Mantras

The twelve short salutations to the Sun, one for each of his names, as used in Surya Namaskar. Each has the form Om, the name, Namah: Mitra, Ravi, Surya, Bhanu, Khaga, Pushan, Hiranyagarbha, Marichi, Aditya, Savitri, Arka and Bhaskara. They are said one by one with the twelve steps of the sun salutation at sunrise, or chanted on Sundays.
